27-2 at the range
Finally got to take my new to me 1973 27-2 3.5" factory reblue to the range today. The first rounds I fired were 125gr jhp Golden Saber .357 mags. What a fun blaster! I know I edited my original post to sound disappointed when I discovered it was a factory reblue but considering the price I paid I'm truly a happy chappy with this fine revolver.
The target was shot at 15 yards with the first rounds of the Golden Saber. Afterwards I rotated back and forth between that, a few magnum Silvertips and a bunch of Federal .38spl 130gr fmj. Shot from 5-25 yards, varying distances. A great way to spend the afternoon.

Have a 3 1/2" I bought new in 1972. Fired about 50 rounds, cleaned it and haven't fired it since. Drag it out every once in a while to admire the workmanship. Then wipe it down and put it away. Just enjoy owning it.

I'm happy you took that beauty out and shot it. That's what they're for afterall. If I want something to keep in the safe I'll buy a tiara.

Thanks, never been one to own guns I wouldn't/couldn't shoot. I shoot my 1911s better than my revolvers but this one is pure fun. I really like the recoil impulse of the Golden Sabers, not bad at all. They'll be my loads for this one.

That is an awesome-looking Model 27. Kinda makes me think that I have to have a 3.5"

OK now I have to go out and buy a 4" model 27, I'm not even gonna consider looking for a 3.5",unless I happen to trip over one.
