19-3
I stopped in a LGS to see what they had in their used gun case. That's the only case I look at there. As usual only a few revolvers, but there was this Model 19-3 for $449. I asked to look at it and it was tight with no apparent problems. I asked them to take the stocks off and they did. Still nothing apparent. I asked how long it had been there and the guy said about 3 weeks. It was sent back to S&W to be "refurbished" was all he knew. I cleaned it when I got it home and it had been fired, but looked better than anything I bring home from the range. There is a little freckling on the side plate under the stock. Does S&W still mark the guns they work on? Thanks, Al

I would have been all over that. I have a 19-2 and a 19-4, wouldn't hurt to collect the rest. Beautiful gun.

Looks like a pretty solid Model 19 to me.
Shooter-grade, but quite nice and well worth the money spent.

Whatever you do, don't go back to that store any time soon, cuz you know you STOLE that gun. The sheriff is looking for you right now.

Nice snag! At least yours came back with its case colored hammer and trigger. About four years ago I also bought a nickeled 19-3 from a local LGS that had been back to the mothership for repairs with a receipt marked R&R revolver. Both the hammer and trigger were the flash chromed jobbers. The price was right and eventually got used to the whole flash chromed thing. Enjoy that one!

Nice gun as you already know! Good price also! I have never owned a 19 of any kind. Did pick up a 66-2, 2.5" in March though. Enjoy your fine Smith! Bob

Carried one for years as LEO until I moved to 1911 Commander. Still have my 19 which will turn 48 this year and continue to shoot with mid range ammo.

You got a good deal. Bought a shooter grade in lesser condition with a set of finger groove pac's. Paid the same price as you did for this gun. I think the 4" is the best balance. Shoot that gun and enjoy it. I ran 100 light 357 hand loads through mine and was wearing out the 10 ring at 10 yards with no problem.
