Thanks! That blue tarp covers my sandbox target and the cover already has some tears so no issue for a few more holes.

I think I counted 6 of 12 as hits. I don't care who you are, I would not want to be standing out there gambling on being hit or missed. I love shooting revolvers at this kind of distance. Sure makes it a bunch easier when you come back into 10, 15, or 20 yards.

Thank you for taking the time to share.

I've been tossing around the idea to video some of the guns that I have out at the family ranch once I retire and move out there. I guess it would be my way of sharing some of the characteristics of models that people may want to shoot but not be able to get to.

I retired last year and bought this country property last Fall to develop into my range area. Takes a good bit of work but fun when you can enjoy it. Have a small cabin on it now and may camp out there in the Fall.

My daughter owns a real estate company. A few years ago, she was offered a listing on a grazed out property with the beginnings of a lodge on it. Nice metal building with a kitchenette, bath and bunk room on the second story of a metal building. A little over two hours from the metroplex. After looking at the property, she called her husband and told him that they needed to buy it for themselves. They had just bought out a partner in the SIL's business, so cash was tight. They took on a great guy as a partner and proceeded. 360 acres, mostly ranch land with a few small wheat fields. Kennels, corral, outdoor patio/fireplace in place. They have added a commercial kitchen, living and dining area down stairs, installed HVAC down along with another bath and bunk room.

They let the place grow up, planted sunflower and dove weed in the fields, and now have a dove and quail haven. Side benefits are pigs, deer, turkey, and waterfowl. One pond of about three acres, and several smaller ones. Then one must have a little fun with the coyote population. Sleeps fourteen. It is a nice retreat for family and friends. Daughter uses it for business as well as pleasure. The grand kids and cousins can fish, shoot (supervised) and run wild. They and the cousins have great times. Reminds me of growing up on a farm in the forties and fifties.

Eliminates the need for an expensive hunting lease, and always available. The partner was already a family friend and there has never been any conflict. Got to watch out for rattlesnakes, but that is mostly true for lots of places in this part of the world. Oh yes, there is a shooting range and a clays trap.
