New-old stocks/grips on the 14-3
Since photobucket took a dive I'm gonna try to post a couple of photos showing some crude stocks I whittled out of a walnut plank about 35/40 years ago. They came back home today.

Fine looking, one of a kind stocks. Can you share the story how they got away and came back?

I made them for a 5 screw K model #K 237665, that I gave to a good friend in 2009. He didn't like them and put the originals back on the revolver. I asked for the stocks back when I adopted this 14-3 and I received them yesterday.
I gotta go make coffee, going to the range in a little while.
Have a blessed day,
Leon

It's kinda obvious that your definition of "crude" and mine are 180 degrees apart. Nice stocks, glad they made it home. hardcase60

I certainly wouldn't mind a set like that on 1 of my Smiths! Enjoy them! Bob

My Grandpa (we called him "Pa") was a "master whittler", I've got a whole box of things he made for me at his camp on Lake Champlain in Vermont (His other grandchildren lost or threw theirs away and now want some of mine! Sorry..) he used a Case Barlow. That, Sir, is some damn fine whittlin' !
