Shouldn't the front sight be blued?

I would say no. The front sight is part of the barrel forging on this 29-1.

It would have been blued and pinned on in earlier version however.

The 8 3/8-inch barrel is a replacement for the original barrel. The barrel on the 29-1 dates to the mid to late 70s, whereas, the 29-1 was most likely shipped in 1962.

Sorry the front sight is pinned, but I have discovered its a factory rework . Not nickel to begin with. But numbers match on parts and I am good with the gun.
