Cheap N-frame target grips arrived from Thailand
I like them. They look just great, for my 28-2 that had incorrect magna's. The fit on the right side one was too tight!! Could'nt get it to set down on there. After about a half hour of very careful filing i was able to get it down. Now they fit perfect, very nice and tight! Now they are not as beautifull of say some Ahrends or Culina's but for $54 no shipping they will be perfect for my shooter Hwy patrolman.

Looks like the ones I put on my 27-2. Mine fit tight, but I could get them on without any modification. They're tight enough that I think I could shoot the gun without even putting the grip screw in.

Those on the 27-2 are nice too. They have the diamond around crew like theonly other set I got from Thailand. Mine are on a 48-4 but are a bit light in color which i dont really care for but otherwise they are perfect.

Those look pretty good.
My biggest complaint on some of the Thai S&W-esque grips is many come with an escutcheon that is plastic and cheapy looking.
Tried an easy hack that helps some - clean/degrease escutcheons and color-in with a black Sharpie, then wipe off excess ink. Might need to do it 2-3 times.
Helps the look some.

So are the medallions metal or are they plastic?

I found some nice 1's for my 625JM. Nothing fancy, but feel great in my hand. That always helps. Bob

I would prefer no medallions at all.
I certainly like these better than any of the plywood grips out there.

I think I have eight sets of these. One set is too big for my hands. But they all fit and look great. I'm saving the originals. Now where did I stash those orginal grips?? Lol but on my new s&w m58 I put the s&w finger groove combat grips. What a nice feeling n frame w/4" barrel.

Btw, if you purchased grips for pistols, I ordered some for my cz's I used 0000 steelwool to remove there finish on the rosewood to reveal an awesome multi colored rosewood. The multi colors blend together. I then put coats of formbys tung oil finish. Rosewood has the be the best wood for natural multi colors.

I am skeptical about putting Taiwanese grips on an American icon gun, but they all look pretty well made. If I go back to wood grips on my 637, I may try some

Anybody that may be tempted to try these Thai. grips, the service through Jurwan on E-bay is top notch. He takes the time to thank each customer upon ordering. I was reading on a Ruger forum some of those guys got worried because for 2 weeks he had no listing, They finally got a hold of him and apparently he had been sick. Just some of that old world customer service we miss and his products are great. I have 2 sets through him now great fit and finish! Another reply on this thread also named him and received a nice set also. Only bad part is the 2 to 3 weeks it takes for them to get through mail and customs to this side of the world.

That's " jaruwan.p " if anyone wants to search by seller. I agree his communication was great, maybe more than I needed, but better too much than too little. Would definitely buy from him again.

From the pics, I think I prefer them to what S&W is currently using; they (S&W') look weird to me.
