Default When was my S&W Model 10 made?
Hello I have a Model 10 S&W pistol which was my fathers. I would like to know when it was made. It has a 5 inch barrel and is a 38 Special. Serial number is C702273.

Thanks. My dad passed two years ago. I inherited the Model 10 and a Canadian Hi power that were used by him during the Vietnam War Era.

That makes it special. I have my uncles .38 he used as a town Constable in Nebraska and I will never part with it.

Welcome to the FORUM! Take the guns out and give them a workout. Did you shoot them with him at 1 time or another? My Dad gave me a M&P 4th. change from June 1919 before he passed away. It used to go to the range with me most of the time. It now resides with my oldest son. It doesn't get out often, but still functions great. Bob
