M14-3 price check
I got a line on a 6" M14-3 with period target stocks. It online so I can't examine before I buy, but it looks well cared for with minimal wear.
It would end up costing a bit under $500 after shipping and transfer fee.
Good deal? What's the market value for one? I'm definitely not planning to flip it, but historically I end up selling guns I cant use as a CCW, so it may only last a year or two before I release it back into the wild.

14-3's, are great guns in my book. You did not mention if the box & papers were with it. I bought my 14-3 in August 2014. (G.B.) No box etc. Was $410 shipped & insured. Some of the best money I've spent! Soft shooting and accurate guns. Have seen them much higher. Pictures would help to determine value. Mine. Bob

Good point about the box! I'm 99% sure there's no box or papers.
Your gun looks similar to the gun I'm looking at, but the overall condition is just a bit worse on 'mine'. I contacted the seller and am hoping for decent pics.

I have a ton of K-38 Masterpiece revolvers. Not one of them has been a disappointment at the range. The three I shoot most often are (in no particular order):
A 4 screw K-38 from 1956
A Model 14-3 regular double action
A Model 14-3 factory SAO
You probably won't be sorry if you pick this one up. It will become a favorite range gun.
$500 OTD isn't bad (depending on how much wear there is on the bluing). You might find one cheaper in a reasonable amount of time, and you might not.

With target stocks in excellent condition, I think that is a very fair price. For that I would expect a shooter with some small blue loss, but absolutely no rust and in sound mechanical condition. Target Trigger and Target Hammer would be nice, too, but the target stocks are the real value there, IMO.
However, I would not be sure about getting that much back out of it due to shipping and auction fees. You may, and probably will get something close if you don't take the first offer, but I would not count on it.
I would do the deal if you don't have one already, and like 6" barrels. Some people don't like the longer barrel. It's all personal choice.
