Default 22LR to 22 WMR conversion

Does anyone know where I can buy a J-frame 6-chamber 22 mag cylinder? Aluminum preferred, any finish steel OK. S&W factory has none.

I too, have an aluminum cylindered Model 43.

I don't think Smith, ever made a cylinder in .22 Mag, but I think the Max pressure of the .22 Rimfire, and the Mag., are similar.

The modern alloy J-frames in .22 Magnum are 7-shooters.

Some model 17s came with a 22mg cylinder but that is not what you are looking for.

I have a model 651 22mag which came from the factory with a 22lr cylinder and a matched crane! Later they would do a run with just the two cylinders.

Good luck on your search.
