Default 10-5 2"

Good Evening Everyone

I'm going to look at a possible new to me gun tomorrow. Gentleman states he has a 10-5 2" with original grips and box he states was made in 1966. He says there is a small spot or some kind of surface rust on the left side barrel. He sent me photographs from his cell phone but they are somewhat grainy and hard to decipher the blemish. He's asking $400 for it.

What are some things to look for on this gun? I'm aware of lock up, timing. Anything that should stick out to me? Grips are wood (magnas I believe?) with a small diamond around the screw. From what I can see besides the pen tip sized blemish just a turn line. The finish reflects the lighting in the room nicely and from what I can tell the stamping looks crisp so I do not think it has been refinished.

I appreciate the help.

From your description it sounds like a good deal. I bought mine last year in March from G.B. for $329 shipped. The finish is somewhat challenged. Does function flawlessly. Fun to shoot too. Let us know how you make out! Bob
