NEW ALTAMONT COKES
Anybody know what is going on at Altamont with their new cokes. I chose this section to post as this is the Era of regular cokes along with the earlier Era too. I think their new ones look great but every time I check site they are "temporarily unavailble". I have looked on their site twice when I was not actually needing any grips and they were available. I almost bought a set once just in case but figured it's from being a new offering and they just got behind in orders. Months have gone by and they are still temporarily unavailable. Just wondering??

If I had to make a guess, would believe that they are in high demand and maybe unable to keep up. Just a thought. Bob

I was able to buy a pair and installed them on my 25-7 .45 Colt. They fit and look great. I'm anxiously waiting for their availability in round butt conversion style for my .44 Mag. Mt. Gun.

do they have the same size as the 1970s grips? I have a set of modern grips as they come on the current N-frames and those are atrocious, small, narrow, slippery and look like plastic finish. Not liking those a bit. If those 'cokes' will be good, they must have gone a long way.

You have to keep watching their site as they can't keep them in stock. I found a narrow window of time when they were available and ordered a K frame pair for my 19-3. They fit like a glove and that palm swell feels just right when shooting the gun. Keep watching for availability, you won't be sorry.

If you can find them, I believe Nill N-frame coke classics are the best choice.

Wow!! Those nil n frame cokes are gorgeous!!! Look like a very high quality product but probably 3 times the price of Altamonts too. That is the appeal of the Altamont, a very reasonable price, I just can not justify paying more for grips than I did for the whole rest of a gun.

Sorry for not posting photos. I'll remedy that in the morning. I do like the big S&W .45.

Just got an email from Altamont that the Cokes are available. They are taking orders and indicating 3 week delivery. "Please note that they are still coming off the machines, so it may take 1-3 weeks to finish and ship them after ordering."

Just ordered a set myself. They look slick on the website. You guys who have previously ordered them, approx how long was the wait time, is three weeks still a relevant estimate? Thanks in advance.

Can't speak for the cokes but I have ordered other grips from them and got the three week wait time email. Less than a week later they were on my gun. Hope this helps. hardcase60
