ID assist please possible terrier?
I didn't have time to look at this revolver but for a second before going into work this morning. I only snapped 2 picture of it. I think it was a 32-1. Would this SN fall into that category. H54421? The stocks were pretty rough, but the rest was in pretty good shape. Thank you for the assist. Would that make this a terrier?

It has a six-shot cylinder and a square butt frame, so I would guess you would find this one stamped MOD 31-1, full name .32 Regulation Police (not sure if it still had this name in the 1970s). The SN format is correct for a later production gun.

No problem. The Terrier (model 32) was originally named the .38/32, as in .38 caliber on the .32 (or I) frame, before WW II. Clear as mud .
