13-2 .357 Magnum
Can anyone tell me when this gun was manufactured?
MOD 13-2, 4"barrel, pinned barrel, hand ejector, fixed sights. Additional numbers on yoke G7 71815.
Gun butt completely covered by presentation grips so can't check for other numbers.

Anywhere from 1977-82
You have to get the serial # off the bottom of the grip frame to get closer.

Finally got the grips off. The serial # is 6D70536. The gun has only been fired on a couple of occasions. Except for the clunky grips it is a beautiful gun. My husband misplace the box and the original grips some time ago. It is possible to get original grips?

That should be 1980 for date.
You want the service grips?
The easiest thing to do is go on eBay and search for
"Smith & Wesson K frame grips". Add "magna" or "service" to narrow results/
You will have a selection of hundreds to choose from.
Targets Guy's 13 in picture below has the Magnas I mentioned.

Yep the 13-2 is a great gun. Mine is a 4D from 1979. A joy to shoot.
