My No-Dash Model 60 -
Took this one out for a spin yesterday. It's an R serial # which, I think, dates it to about 1969 (please correct me if I'm wrong). It's too pretty to wear that Tyler T-Grip, but it does help with the snappiness of +P ammo. I removed it after I took these quick pics. Those are the original grips, by the way. Hope you guys enjoy!

I'd leave her just like she is at her age. It's a beauty!

How bright is that finish? Early ones were polished almost like nickel, and had all stainless parts.
Later ones use normal steel hammer and trigger, flash chromed.
I like Tyler adaptors

The R prefix started in 1969 and went into the unpinned barrel era (1982 or so).

This was my first off duty revolver, purchased new in 1976. Serial R149XXX. Roy says that it shipped in February of 1976. I've carried it all over the USA, and it always wore a Tyler T Grip...I still have it but it's loaned out to one of my other J frames right now. These are really nice little guns, and are surprisingly accurate.
Best Regards, Les

Funny you should say that. After I fired 100 rounds, I cleaned the outside just by wiping it down with a rag. I was impressed by just how good it looked and you can see that in the pictures, too. Can't do that to the more dull finish on the Model 629-6 I bought recently.

Beautiful Model 60. I'd leave the Tylers on it.

IMHO the M60 was born to wear a Tyler T. Yours looks great.
