Date for Mod 36 (no dash) 2" Round Butt SN 189050
Title pretty much says it all... ejector latch is raised, 2 screws are showing (haven't removed the grips to check for any additional). Grips are diamond studded w/S&W logo; Barrel marked 38 S&W SPL. Thanks in advance for any help. New to the forum but I look forward to spending a lot of time here.

Welcome aboard from Wyoming, Joel.
My best guess puts your Chiefs Special around 1960, +/-. Some of the experts will likely be along soon to narrow that range.
