Old girl got some new shoes
This is just some picture posting practice using the forum server rather than PB.
I got these presentation grips from Masterbuck 54 today and am super happy with them. I had a beautiful set of black washer targets on this 66 from the early 70s', but they just didn't fit right in the middle of the backstrap. I put the same grips on a 17-2 that I picked up a year ago, and they fit perfectly. So, I was on the hunt for some silver washer targets of the correct vintage, and here they are, they fit so much better.

When it comes to S & W stocks, "universal fit" isn't...these look nice.
Did you change out the front red ramp for the black Patridge sight?

Yea, about 15 years ago I had the ramp milled off and a pinned in partridge front sight put on. I also installed the TH/TT set. I couldn't find flash chrome, which must be more rare than hen's teeth, so settled for case hardened. I don't know why S&W never made a 66 like this, a lot if 19's were made with partridge front sights.

Gorgeous. You're right, I had a 6" 19 with a Patridge front site (no "r": it's a guy's name, not a bird).
Cheers,
Bob

You are correct, the only K frame flash chromed TH/TT I have seen were on 6" model 66s, and not consistently.

Those look great on your M66!
Masterbuck is the go-to guy for great-looking grips at very fair prices. I have several pairs of his.
These smooth presentations from him have made this my barbecue gun!
By the way, though the Forum server is a fine option for photos, I have had wonderful success with imgbb.com as simple, fast, and of a size that displays very well on here. The photo above is one that is stored there. Just a word to the wise: if you use imgbb.com, you'll have several different choices of links to insert photos onto other sites like this Forum. Choose the one that ends in [/img] and you'll never have a problem. I transitioned to imgbb.com after the Photobucket debacle recently.

Thanks, for the line on a new photo posting website, I like the photos better than the thumbnails.
