Default New info on old 27

Well after only two weeks I received my historical letter on the 27-2 I picked up that turned out to be a reblue. It also turns out it didn't travel far from home. It actually shipped October 21, 1970 to a large now-defunct sporting goods store in Denver, you locals will remember Gart Brothers no doubt.

For some reason it was returned to the factory for a refinish in January of 1971. And there we have it.

Curious, is the left grip frame stamped with the typical factory refinish stamps, or did the letter state that it was sent in for a refinish?

That particular reblue was done back in the day when they did it the original way, so IMO - no harm no foul.

Both actually. When I bought it I didn't remove the combat grips until I got it home. At that time I noticed the stamping for the refinish. The letter also states the January 1917 refinish.
