Default 15-6 HB w/different colored inlays???

I currently am looking at 3 S&W 15-6's, all are supposed to be heavy barreled but I can't see a big difference, also the stamping, S&W insignia, name, etc one one is in white, the other gun is in red??? What are these, any value difference, etc?

The difference between the two barrels aren't as noticeable as say the model 10, but there is a difference. As far as the colors, they were done by someone outside the factory. No increase in value. Just my opinion.

The different colors were done by previous owners and not the factory.

The 15-6 has a wider rib.

I bought a 15-6 shooter grade for $175 that had yellow paint on the front sight and in the the rolled marks.

Shot it a bit, replaced some parts then sold it.

The paint in the lettering & logo can easily be taken off with acetone and a toothbrush without hurting the finish at all. Soak a cloth with acetone, lay on the painted areas for a while, dip a toothbrush in acetone and start scrubbing alone the straight lines.
