Gentlemen, Was 1962 the first year of the Model 10-5? If so, I would assume that would include the left handed threads?

Yes. The thread change on the tapered barrel Model 10 came with the -2 variant in 1961. On the heavy barrel variant, it was the 10-3, also in 1961.
