Default Finally found a 25-2

After searching for quite some time and many outbid auctions later I was finally able to
acquire a nice model 25-2. I've been wanting one of these for a looong time.
Now if it would just stop raining Long enough for me to go to the range I'd be a happy camper. Here she is !

Default Great Revolver

These 25-2s are great revolvers. I bought mine (blued 6-1/2" bbl, 3Ts, 1973) at a local gun shop about 5 years ago for $695, and never regretted it. I usually take the 25-2 and my M1917 to the range along with a mess of 2, 3, and 6-shot moonclips. They're a blast to shoot, but I think I need to get a moonclip tool to save my fingers! My 25-2 is extremely accurate, and who doesn't like .45ACP?

Once upon a time, it was one of my 'grail guns'. Got one from a member here (his gun was here before my check even got to him).

Be prepared to be bored.
Envision shooting a laser. That's how blamed accurate these things are.
Just same thing, over and over. Bullets? - doesn't matter - LSWC, FMJ Ball, JHP's, all - like a laser.

Enjoy it 'til you find yourself yawning.

For range use, RIMZ poly moon clips are great! No tools needed! I use them with my 625JM. Bob

I had my cylinder bores chamfered for moon clip use-what a diference. Some 25-2's have larger cylinder bores, so a check with a pin gauge can help determine bullet sizing.

I bought my 25-2 40 years ago. Read it and weep (LOL)...

In addition to the 25-2, the family has grown to a 625-2, a 625-8PC, a 25-13MG (machined for moons) and a 325PD - .45 revolvers are like potato chips.

Adios,

Pizza Bob
