Default I got the 15-4 home

First of all Thanks for all the helpful info found here. I thought I would post some pictures of the Pistol I inherited last Fall when my Dad passed. I have kept it at my Dads house where my Sister lives for her home defense but I traded it out today with one of mine because I want to shoot it. A 1980 from the serial in very good shape. I dont think he ever carried it.I always remember him carrying the old 3 screw Ruger while Hunting and lecturing me how to properly load it knowing it would be mine some day too. I found some tools but not the SAT or the box. Maybe I can find a used box or a repro just for nostalgia.I thought the pinned barrels went away in 77 but guess I misunderstood.

There is a box on eBay right now for a model 15-4, has 8 days left on the bidding. The Fluted handle SAT’s are almost always available.

Very nice Laddie, and kind and generous you are indeed to see to your sisters security needs.. I know you will love this gun, can't wait for your "range report".... I'm ALWAYS Blessed when a loving and appreciative SON receives his Father's Blessing!

This is what its all about, not collecting every Registered Magnum ever built,,, LOL, but your Dad passing his own treasure down to a deserving heir!

That is certainly a nice looking 15-4 there. Pinned barrels got phased out in 1982. I'm sure the gun is priceless to you either way. Enjoy at the range as I too look forward to a range report.
