I see them offered for $800+. Bought two nice -2 2.5 inch guns but without boxes/docs for $500 each in the last couple years. I'd say a good price from the buyer's perspective for what you've described would be about $600-$700. Good luck.

Yeah, $800+ on the low (lucky) end for what you’ve described. I regularly see them in the Reno area in $1000 range without box and goodies, but I am sure there’s some out there for $500. Good luck with your hunt.

I like to search competed auctions on GunBroker for seeing the top end of certain pieces. The -1 2.5" was a super limited run (maybe 5,000 pieces at the most) but there have been several sell this year LNIB and all went between $1500-2000. I would assume that, with enough hunting, you could find one at a show or lgs for less (probably from a seller who hasn't seen those sale prices).

Default 66-1

I gave $750 for mine 3 years ago, with no box or tools. It's the only one I've came across.

A good price would be $200.00. A realistic price will be in the $750.00 + range, IMHO, they are well worth it. The model 66ís have all features of the classic model 19 line of revolvers with the added benefit of being stainless.

Default not sure

I know they don't show up much in my area. Especially in new condition and with box etc.
I bought this one two years ago w/o original stocks and no box n stuff.
I'd go $700 to $800 for the next one I could grab. Depending on condition.
Mine is in great mechanical condition.
I like 'em a lot.
A lot of people do.
This pic was taken in poor lighting condition obviously.

I haven't seen a clean 66-1 snub for less than $800 in a while. Actually I haven't seen many 66-1 snubs at all lately. I would say any price under a grand would be decent, under $800 would be a steal.

So I didn't over pay $600 a few years ago for mine then?

Every one I've seen lately with box and papers have been north of $1100 on auctions. You can get a real nice example for less if you forego the box and goodies.

I picked up this 66-1 about a year ago for $675. It came with a 66 (no-dash) box and worn rubber grips. The lock-up was a little sloppy, but a new cylinder locking bolt solved the issue. I also had to drive 240 miles (round trip) to buy it. It was worth it.

I can't even recall the last early M-66 2.5 inch I saw at a Show or LGS here in Montana. Even 2 1/2" 19's are rare.

I bought my 66-2 2 1/2" brand new back in 1982. I still have the original box and paperwork with it. Been fired less than 50 times. I wonder how much less the value would be as opposed to the -1?
