Default I found a goodie today

Model 19-3 from 1975, 6" barrel:

Went to a LGS to pick up some powder and bullets, as I'm using some of my vacation this week to catch up on reloading. This fine fellow was hiding in the corner of a case; I almost didn't see it. Trigger is very smooth and my gauge says it's 8 pounds. Less than 500, so I'm thinking I might have done okay today. There is a fingertip-sized spot of lightened bluing on the other side of the barrel, and a wee bit of holster wear at the end of the barrel, but it's good otherwise. Nice tight lockup and the rifling looks good. Cylinder gap is .004.

Can't wait to shoot it!

Haha, under $500?

No way anyone here would call that a lousy deal.
If that price is "out the door", it seems like a MUST BUY!

I much prefer the 6" barrel over the (maybe more popular?) 4" barrel if we are talking about a K-frame Magnum.

Excellent score!

I b'lieve you should call the authorities and turn yourself in, but that's just me thinkin' out loud.

Nice score.

Nice find Andy.....how did I miss that one!!???
I usually hit the local shops a couple times per month.....must have snuck in when I had my back turned!
But seriously, nice gun, congrats!

BTW> If you ever decide to join the SWCA I would be happy to sponsor you. It's a great group and the journals are worth the membership cost.

Cheers,

It was at that shop near Navajo Blvd— I forget the name. I’m in there for Bear Creek bullets from time to time. It had belonged to the counter guy; he said he hadn’t shot it much and was selling it to support his 10mm habit.

Have always considered the K-frame just about ideal for .38 Special and even .357 S&W Magnums. Six inch 19-3 will do just about anything that needs doing with a .357 Magnum. Outstanding K-frame action. Heavy barrel. Grip is about ideal. What's not to like? All at a price that would make most folks break their arm getting their wallet out of their pockets! Very cool! Sincerely. bruce.

Excellent roscoe.

I bought one because it was available but I had no expectations of it.

OMG! What a fantastic shooter!

3 T's on this one and a set of Kuracs.

Here it is with a 5" 27-2.
