Target hammer and trigger, red insert front sight. Does the rear have a white outline? Nice M19.

Surprisingly not John. Ive never seen one without the other.
I just wiped it down and ran a Boresnake through it, the bore is bright and shiney! I expected to need more brushwork and solvent. Overall, it appears typically carried a lot and shot a little. It's pretty tight, with some cylinder endplay.

I've always liked 19s, having had three four inches and one six inch. Ive never owned one of the short barrels Fred. It just seems like the perfect carry .357.

Model 19 2 1/2"
Very nice looking revolver. I've got one just like it only in nickle, a fairly recent addition to the "family". Carried it few times but then gravitated back to my Model 49.

Beautiful!!
I got a M19 snubbie a month back in almost new condition, and I just can't bring myself to carry it. If I saw another in lesser condition, I'd have to get it so I can carry it in good conscience.
Luckily, I have a Wiley Clapp GP100 that I carry when I'm in the mood for .357.

I like them too, A10!
When the opportunity arises, I'll add a couple more to the collection.

Took me years to replace the one I had in the mid-80s..... sold it to a friend when I got my 3" 66s...... decided I wanted to have one.... just cus .... in about 2000..... IIRC it was a 4 year search for a P&R gun.
Those who's got um... keep um!!!!!!

It took me the better part of a year to find one. One LGS had a 66-4, but it was gone when I went back for a closer look. This one was right here in the For Sale section for a fair price. I prefer blue or nickel to stainless.

Very nice. And, to me, the best part is that you said you will carry it! I bought one way back in 1990 that had some wear. Never did anything with it for years - it just sat in the safe. The last year or so I have had it out - my wife has been using it at our club's BUG (back up gun) shoots. Well, I am waiting on a Milt Sparks PMK holster for it.
Hope you enjoy yours!

I have a 19-3 with a 4" bbl that was shipped in early 1971 according to a gentleman here who was kind enough to date it for me. Mine has neither the white outline rear or the red insert in the front ramp sight. No, it is not a patridge front sight either, it is a ramp style sight but all black and solid with no insert of any kind.
Very nice 19 A10! I also have my Dad's 6" m19-3 with TT, TH, and patridge front sight, it is about 5 years newer than the 4". I would love a 2.5" someday.

Been looking for a 2 1/2" model 19 at a price I'll pay for about 5 years now. During that time, I have purchased two snubby model 66's. One is a safe queen and the other has become my off duty EDC. Still looking for the 19....
