Price check on a mint 34-1?
I have a 34-1 that I have never shot complete with matching box and the original warranty tag with the purchase date being 3/19/79 and the condition is nearly new. I am guessing it has been shot before by a previous owner but very very little. The turn line is barely visible and the bluing is perfect. Very nice bluing on this one also. I have had it probably 15 years at least as a safe queen. What would a good value for this one be as described? I have a figure in mind but I want to see if it lines up enough to persuade me to sell it. It is a M103xxx number gun, really about as nice as I have seen.

Sorry, I forgot to add that it’s a 4 inch barrel. I also have a 2 inch with flat latch in very similar condition. Just getting tired of holding on to stuff that I really dont want to shoot.

You are the kind of guy I like to buy from!
We love the Kit Guns around here and shoot them often. My wife's favorite gun is a Model 34-1 2" I gave here for Christmas two years ago. She was always shooting my Model of 1953 2" Kit Gun, so I bought her one of her own.
I'm about to leave for a caribou hunt where there are always lots of ptarmigan around. I take a 4" Model 34 with me to pot birds.
How anyone can own Kit Guns and not shoot them is beyond me, but I know that people have different tastes and priorities.

I agree with 22hipower, in the $600 to $700 range to an individual. If you take it to a local gun shop they will probably offer you around $400 for it, so try and sell it on your own. You can list it here in the Classified section and will probably find a buyer. Pictures will help sell it, close and clear.

I looked at a real nice one a week ago. Very clean. Round butt. No box or papers that He mentioned and I forgot to ask. At the LGS. 725 plastic or 699 cash. Had me thinking but I let it pass.

Interesting comments. I do also love to shoot the J frames a lot, but don’t really like to shoot anything as exceptionally clean and complete as these because I feel they are more collector status. I have a nice collection of J’s That I do shoot often. I wouldn’t want to be the one putting wear on these however when they have survived this long in as new condition. So I am starting to feel like I want to part with the collector safe queens and stick with the ones I’ll actually shoot. Besides, everyone tells me when you hit 65 you are supposed to start downsizing. 😆 I’m having a harder time with the idea of putting my pristine 1933 Plymouth up for sale than I am with the idea of parting with the safe queens I have never even shot.😀

LOL in my decade long search for a 4" 63 in a LGS I acquired 2 4" 34s still in the boxes they shipped in.......... one round and one square butt.
Could not bring myself to shoot either..........as I had 'nice" but used 17s and a 18 to shoot at the range..... and a 3" 60-10 had become my "Kit Gun".
Finally acquired a 4" 63 about a year ago..... and a 90% 18 for field use last spring.......... my question .........do I give each of my boys a 34 or thin the herd???????

I like them enough I bought one of each. Taught my Granddaughters how to shoot with them. I'll probably leave one to each of them, but I intend to shoot them several more years before I part with them, I'm only mid 70's.
