What do I have here? doesn't seem to match info in catalog of S&W.Thanks for your help

The cylinder latch and the grips do not go together. The gun is newer than the grips. Thats a start, but real experts will be along shortly with good info. A fun shooter no doubt.

The stocks are wrong (way too early), but S&W did make 1 7/8" model 63's. They are a really neat gun to stick in your pocket when walking in the woods.

Thanks,I Knew the stocks were wrong but the 1 7/8 bbl wasn't listed,only 4"

Wait....maybe I should have typed: Nope, it is wrong, somebody monkey'd with that one, you should sell it to me CHEAP

Just kidding, it is a pretty desirable variation. The 22 mag version eludes me currently.....
