**Nevermind** 14-3 Price check help asap!
**Seller just called me to say he's decided to keep it, no biggie but I do thank you guys for the feedback.**
I've been offered a very very nice 14-3 (yes 6") with target hammer and trigger, Hogue rubber grip (I only like these on magnums, no need on a .38), great timing and lockup, no box or anything else with it. It doesn't have any refinish marks, 3k13XXX serial number, shows a fair amount of use around the forcing cone with minimal drag line. I have a beautiful set of presentation grips that would go great with this if I get it, today only though. $500 firm.
Yea or Nea?

Well, I’m going to go with a “get it” because they are very good revolvers. I am slightly puzzled by the description however. You indicated that “fair amount of use” around the forcing cone but light turn line. But note that timing and lock up is good...... maybe I am just not comprehending the description. However, the pricing of these are not dropping and today’s $500 is yesterday’s $350.... somewhat... Yet again if the gun is is good shape then it is probably a good price. I have recently spent more than that for a nice K - 38 Masterpiece. Target hammer and trigger does add some for value and pricing. Some may not agree with me but I think that is as good a price as any under the circumstances today. Serial number shows manufacturing time around c. 1972. Don’t have my book handy...... Best of luck. Hope that you will come to a positive decision today.

Thanks, sorry for the bad description. The owner shot handloads that perhaps were more "dirty" than factory? I think perhaps it just wasn't cleaned as well around the top strap and forcing cone as I normally do. I should've taken some pics, my apologies.
I do appreciate the insight, thanks very much!

I just sold a 14-3 that was about 80% for $275. All the same features with the standard wood grips. If 100% it is probably worth it.

I would think 500 is tops cause you can get a 19 for that... 14’s were never that popular around here...

Kind of my thoughts. I'd rather have a handgun chambered in .357 vs. .38 Special. I do have a Pre-14 that was built as a PPC revolver and will keep that one. That is why I sold the 14-3 that I had.
