I’ve been saving towards a new gun for awhile now and this 657-3 came up on a local trading site. A 657 has been on my short list of future acquisitions for some time now and it joins my blued 57 no dash and nickel 57 no dash. It’s a CAE serial prefix, so that makes it 1995 and no MIM parts.

Very nice N-frame!! Just a little TLC and she's clean up beautifully.

Congratulations on your new acquisition.

I don't think a bear, a cougar, or a deer or javelina will know whether you shot him with this or a .44 Magnum.

And I read that .41 Magnums tend to have very consistent dimensions that produce superior accuracy.

Of course, you must reload to get good standard service ammo. But that's true of .44 Magnum, too.

Is .41 Magnum ammo sold in South Africa? Can you get most common calibers? How do ammo prices compare to the USA, if you pay attention to that on this board? (Ammo forum)

What is your serious using load for your M-28 .357?
