Default S&W Performance Center Engraving

My son is graduating from the police academy in June. I have a very nice 2 1/2" 66 no dash that I want to have engraved as a graduation gift.
I called S&W Performance Center today regarding engraving a special gun. Very nice lady with a lot of information she suggested 50% coverage. We are talking about $2000 for 50% coverage. A lot of money to me, but I have saved that much for the project. She said their on site master engraver is "Dave Mushinic (sic).
Does anyone have any experience with, or opinion about Dave?

I looked into their engraving a while back myself. Did she send you a catalog? I just couldn’t save up the money, I kept buying other guns.

I owned a Model 629 engraved and inlaid with gold by Dave Misiaszek and it was very well done. I think you would be pleased with his work.

I am quite pleased with the factory engraved firearms that I own, but the Factory is not THE engraving standard

There are literally hundreds, perhaps thousands of engravers in America that can do as good a job or better and usually at a better price and/or faster turnaround

Go look at the FEGA website. The Firearms Engravers Guild of America will have samples from MANY engravers for you to pick from. Perhaps you will even find one in your own state.

Default S&W Master Engraver David Andrew Misiaszek

Hi The S&W Master Engraver David Andrew Misiaszek is absolutely phenomenal. If I ever can afford it, I am definitely having him engrave my first gun. You can google his name to see his work. His work is signed "D.A.M."
