T grips arrived today
Added T-grips to my 10-5 and 19-2. Always liked the look and feel of these. Would love to see some more.

I really like the T grips as well. I have a BK grip adapter on my 38/44 HD. The adapters make an amazing difference in the grip of guns with the magnas on them.

Are BK's metal? What do they sell for?
I've used Tylers some and like them a lot. But they often take forever to deliver.

I just ordered two t grips, one for a j frame and one for a k frame, called them and talked to Jr for 45 minutes. He took my order on phone, had to send him address and check. Had a very good conversation.

Without the T grips (or other similar), guns with service or magna type grips are very uncomfortable for me to shoot. The ergonomics are terrible.

I agree. You'd think someone would have come up with a single grip design that has the exact profile of magnas with T-grip by now. I'm just glad the company is still making them. They had a few years of business trouble and it looks they have recovered.

I have a Tyler or BK on all of my carry j-frames. Would not carry a gun without a grip adapter.

They took 2 1/2 weeks. I was alittle worried that it would take longer, but they produced.

Other than my Revolvers that have Custom Made or Target Grips, all my Revolvers wear them or the old and antiquated S&W branded or Pachmeyer Grip Adapters. They do make a HUGE difference in handling.

It does seem that Tyler FINALLY got their act together! It's certainly about time but glad to see them survive as I do believe theirs are the best on the market.

If Tyler did online sales, I'd have some. BK does, so that's who I order from. I like them on everything but N frames-- I use the big rubbery Hogues on those.

My Model 10 square butt snub is set up w/a T-Grip and it fits my hand like a glove. I put my first one on my dept. issued Colt 4”, then Model 10 four inch in ‘68 and have been using them ever since.

I also need the adapter for my revolvers that have Magnas. I have some T's and one BK and these are very good. The most comfortable for me however is the old Pachamyr which was quite popular in the '60s. I received one from a kind gentleman on this site a few years back and it is by far my best fitting for the square butt K's.

Both the new-production Tyler and the BK adapters are excellent quality and will outlast you.
However, if you’re hardcore about historical authenticity, and want adapters for older revolvers, it has to be Melvin’s originals with the name stamp.
Sorry about the Colts. The S&W’s in my collection all came with Mershons or Pachmayrs

What Absalom said, plus the oldest ones have the two digit "postal code" which precede the five digit "zip code", which for Oklahoma City and Tylers address was "14" and also have "Melvin" on them...

I've tried them but they just don't feel right to me. My palms are bigger than my fingers which are average as far as glove size goes so I end up putting a 1/8 wood shim under the right panel just so my hand fits. This is on my shooters only. I think they look cool but don't work for me.

I really like T-grips. I shot my Model 649 over the weekend and it was a joy (first picture has it in there, and a Model 10 snubbie with T-grips). Some of these are Tyler Ts and a couple are Pachmayr Ts.

At one time, the FBI routinely issued Model 10's with Pachmayr adapters, so useful were they in achieving a superior grip on the gun.
Someone posting above seemingly thinks that ALL grip adapters can be called "T 's". Not so; I'm pretty sure that that means the Tyler one, and not a name used by Pachmayr or Mershon.
The Tyler fits my had better and I always thought the others a tad ugly. I really prefer replacement grips, but it's often the case that a Tyler on a J-frame allows better concealment, and the guns do feel good in the hand.
I had Tylers on my M-36-1 and a stainless equivalent in M-60. These had Magnas in smooth rosewood and those Tylers and felt good and handled recoil well.
My Tylers have the bright and the soft silver look. Does the anodizing wear off of the black ones? Seems a good reason to order the resin BK if that's the case, and one wants a black adapter.

Yes, T-S, the anodizing does wear eventually.nhere is my 28 with model 58 PC Magnas and a Tyler T Grip. Very nice feel to the combination.

This is my only set of T-Grips. I will probably be getting more in the future tho. This picture is also posted in another thread, but it seemed appropriate for this thread too. 29-3 4 inch Nickel. Thanks for letting me show them off!

I love the Barami Hip-Grips for my J-frames for the convenience of pocket carry, but the ergonomics are terrible. The Tyler grip adapters shown here make them more hand-filling and comfortable to shoot.

How about an old T Grip with a newer gun?
Along with a great set of elk stocks by forum member bgmtnman!! I like the looks and the feel in the hand!! Sort of a BBQ pocket gun.
Best Regards, Les

Tyler T grip, Gen 2
That's a nice Gen 1 in post 31, here's my nicest Gen 2. Still has the 2 digit postal code, but no "Melvin" stamp.
