Default Found this little airweight Chief's Special...

ItJust picked up this little model 37 today in smalltownville Oklahoma for $225 w/tax. I'm not very familiar with these small smiths, but I figured it was a good deal even with the worn finish. Mechanically it's perfect. Can anyone tell me how old it is and approximate value. The bluing on the steel parts is either worn off or turning to patina, the anoddizing on the rest as well as the stocks are still in good condition.

That looks like a great score for the price.

I'd put it around spring '68.

Congrats.

Excellent buy at that price, they normally go for around $350, and a great ccw gun.

You did well. I'm going to have to find Smalltownville and see what other bargains are to be had there.
