Default Almost too pretty to shoot

But not quite -- 1977-78 27-2 is a shooter all the way
First day at the range was great!
Balance was perfect and target grips fit my relatively small hands.
Loaded with .357’s it’s a show stopper as well as a man stopper.

I agree, but I wouldn't fault you either way. I wish I had a 27

Has a couple of speckles near the cylinder release, no box, and late 70's instead of late 50's, making it a shooter.

Default 27-2 3.5"

Very nice 3.5" 27 indeed! Just got a blue one myself, last week. I love the nickel guns the best. Congrats on that beauty!

Very nice.
IMHO...
After the Colt SAA the S&W model 27 w/a 3.5 inch barrel
is the best looking handgun on the planet.

Yes, I agree, almost too pretty to shoot but S&W revolvers were made to be shot. Enjoy it!

Yessir! That's a beauty! If there ever was a pic that should be a front page for this board. This is it.

^^^Thanks
But keep in mind that this gun is a shooter and it is arguably not as nice as those made in the 50's and 60's

very nice, would love to own that one. No idiot mark on the side plate and super nice grips as well. Love it!

Very nice! All guns are shooters. How else do you know they work?
