Default Baby sitting an N frame.

Circumstances resulted in me being granted temporary custody of a Mod. 27-2. I am trying not to get finger prints all over it but, with a nickel finish, that is a challenge.

I may apply for adoption depending on the cost and if the social worker passes on the home visit. Anyway, its fun to speculate about the possibilities.

Don't go to the range and shoot it; you will fall in love and you will have severe problems letting it get out of your grasp.

As for the fingerprints, give it a good polish with Ren wax or other quality carnauba wax polish. That will minimize the fingerprints. I have 6 nickel model 27's and that is what I do with mine.

I agree...What I do before I handle my guns is wash my hands real good with anti bacterial soap[gets the sweat, and oils off that causes fingerprinting]....Then apply a good coat Ren wax!.....Then you can handle any gun without smudges or fingerprints{and slobbers}.......................................................M*

Slobbers? Are you washing your mouth out with that soap to dry up the slobbers too?

Beautiful. A 6" M27 is high on my list of "must-buys" if the price is right.

Nice a while back my online dealer had two m27-2’s. One in nickel and another in blue. I didn’t want to break up the relationship so both are growing roots in my safe. Both are in excellent condition.
