Default S&W Rosewood Smooth Grips

Think I have the right forum here. I have a late 70's mint pair of S&W smooth Rosewood target grips. I guess the wood is no longer available. Can some give me an idea of their value? Thanks

Pictures will help knowing if they are N or K frame will also. The grain and color will affect value as well.

Pictures will help a lot. For me, the stocks must fit the frame, especially at the top rear, where later stocks were very poor in that area. N frame seem to sell higher than K's. In good shape, I have seen them at gun shows from $150 to $250. I'm not going over $150 or so.

At the moment I do not. I am not at home, vacation traveling. They are very dark, not a mark on them, and they are for a K frame, square. I used to have them on a 15-3

S&W factory made wood target style grips with either silver and black washers that truthfully can be described as excellent, like new,new old stock condition with no defects that are beautifully grained with desirable color to the buyer are IMO worth a minimum of $150.Naturally these higher priced examples will not have been refinished. As time goes on the numbers of these fine examples decreases.

There's many light color plain vanillas with little to no grain that can be found at much lower prices.

Demand regulates price and not the amount made as evidenced by cokes, combats with washers and K/L RB Targets(bananas)

Not to hijack your thread but I was about to ask same question about some Smooth Rosewood Presentation grips from probably 70’s or early 80’s. They are N-Frame. The only numbers I can make out are 116 on bottom right panel and what looks like 15 on top left panel. If this is inappropriate I can start another thread. Thanks for any help. I can get some pictures in a bit. Or maybe it’s a 91?

What about value for as new J-frame sq. butt grips like these?

Magnas, with medallion.

Probably 1970's production. I've owned them since the 1980's, I think.

It is a nice set.
Not a wood expert by any means but not convinced myself they are Rosewood.
I'd say yours are in the 140 + range though

I am a wood guy. I’ve been turning all kinds of exotic stuff on my lathe. I’m sertain they are Rosewood. I’m just getting rid of some stuff I’ve had around for years and and just want a fair price for me and the buyer. Not getting any younger and you youngsters should enjoy this stuff.

Are you sure those are rosewood? The color is good but I don't think the grain is what I am use to seeing. I could be wrong.
