If you have a fear of working with tiny almost microscopic pieces, don't try to change out the sights on you K frame.
I installed a set of Mepro night sights on my 66 today, what a headache that was, although I did get lucky and was able to successfully search and rescue the spring and plunger after they shot across the room on three occasions. I had to enlarge the tiny hole in the new sight screw so the plunger would fit without forcing it, then I had to try several different punch types to finally bugger up the screw so the nut wouldn't tighten against the sight. The front sight insert was WAY too big to fit in the dovetail of my front sight ramp, took me an hour of filing, testing, filing, testing, filing, testing.
It's done now, they look good. If anyone has the idea of doing this and you think it's going to be a quick job, think again.
