Default Front sight repair to M64-5

A few months ago, I'd written to the Forum regarding a LE-trade-in M64-5 with a damaged front sight that I'd purchased from the Gun Library at a local Cabela's. Surprisingly, the price for the revolver was quite reasonable for Cabela's current pricing policies.
It originally sported tritium inserts in both the front and rear sight assemblies although the tritium was depleted.

I'd searched for an alternate repair site (after the Cabela's staff displayed a lack of cooperation in covering the repair) and I came across Tooltech Gunsight, Inc., of Oxford, MI.
The owner and I discussed options, and he sduggested he would mill off the front sight blade and mill a groove for a pinned patridge front sight of original height so my POI would not change for 158gr .38 Spl. rounds.
The work was completed and I picked up the revolver today.
In place of a pinned patridge sight, he dovetailed the front sight base and inserted a custom-made front sight with yellow dot per my preference.
I think it turned out very nicely.
Attached are two of the 'before' and three of the 'after' photos.
What do you think?

The company website is: Custom installer of Trijicon Night Sights – 248.628.1811 . Wait time was six weeks and the cost was $165. I highly recommend this company based on my personal experience working with the owner, Steve Trottier.

Now that's one of the best modified sights I've ever seen. Congrats and enjoy!

Wow, can I hit the like button a few more times!!!

This is something that has been needed on K frame, non adjustable model guns since the introduction of Novak sights, back in the 80s. Way to go on a useful, practical modification to your weapon. Performance Center are you listening?

I recently bought a 29-2, it was dropped on the front sight and also dinged the rear.

I was able to clean it up and reinsert the red ramp. Has a small tip in the white but came out pretty good.

Thought this was the typical "How do I fix......." post, pleasantly surprised it wasn't! Beautiful solution to the original damage, and really a quite reasonable price! Very nice.
