Gun show pickup 17-3
Once again reading these threads made me realize I need a Model 17 to go with my other Smith and Wesson revolvers.
So while walking the aisles of a Gun show today I bought this 17-3 with box and papers. Has the Target stocks, hammer and trigger. Looks to have been shot very little..
A bonus for me as it dates to my Birth year..

Is there a S&W logo on the lid? Darn nice looking gun. Price.

I paid 800. A bit more than I wanted to, but the birth year part and no shipping or transfer fees sold me on it... I’ve been watching the for sale forum here and gunbroker for awhile and this one was in great condition that I could see in person.

Congratulations on the purchase as you are going to love shooting it. I have a 17-4 with 8 3/8 inch barrel and it's my most accurate S&W revolver.

Nice hitower. Just this month, I bought a 17-4 without box or papers and paid $800. Like you, I wanted a specific revolver. Mine was in the exact configuration I wanted; three T's, pinned barrel, with cutout in grip stock for speed loader. I'm happy! Bet you are too.
My model 17-4 "K22 Masterpiece" in .22 Long Rifle
Thanks for looking at my K22 Masterpiece.
God bless,
Birdgun
