You're right, that's not a large collection, it's HUGE! Good on you, how long you been collecting?? Looks like you've got a nice variety of Smiths. Someday you'll have to post some family pics!

These are the revolvers I have:
10-8 4 inch
28-2 4 inch
65-3 3 inch
66-2 2.5 inch (now my wife's gun)
686-1 4 inch
547 4 inch (almost forgot about this one)
This is the semi-auto I have
59
These are all the S&Ws in my collection at this time but even at 58 I'm still young enough to find more. Also all but the 65-3 and the 547 have been my duty weapons as an armed security officer, Private Investigator and security supervisor at one time or another.

I’m sure there are many members of the forum here that could fill several pages by listing their collections.
That being said, I only started on my Smiths journey two years ago and have managed to amass a modest collection;
1968 Model 36; 2”
1983 Model 36; 2”
1986 Model 60; 2”
1988 Model 60; 2”
1988 Model 19-5; 2-1/2”
1997 Model 66-4; 2-1/2”
2015 Model 60-15; 3”
Hmmmmm...I’m starting to see a pattern here......

Not many.
A 1917 commercial
An ex british second model hand ejector converted to .22 LR ( originally a .455)
A model 14-4
A model 31-1
A model 28-2
At least I have the 3 major frames. J, K and N.
L frames don't interest me.

People here have much bigger collections, but people, who know I shoot, are surprised by my accumulation.
6 1/2” 28-10
4” 19-4
4” 28-2
4” 66 (no dash)
4” 629-6
6” 686-6+
2 1/2” 19-5 (separately shown) Somehow, S&W let this one leave the factory without cutting a forcing cone, into it. Before me, it was shot so little, no one realized it was spitting lead. It’s at my gunsmith’s.

I see a gaping hole.
There's no Chiefs Special in blue.
What's the barrel length on your 10-6 in .357. That's a neat one.

Sheesh, I only have 14. I'd better get with it. I have:
1905 (4th change) 6" (1918)
HE .32 4.25" (1916)
Chiefs 1 7/8" (1957)
Pre-31 4" (1957)
10-5 6"
10 4"
325 4"
625PC 4"
64-3 4"
19-3 6" (1975)
640
36-? 3"
Pre-10 2" (1949)
Victory 5" (1943)
I think before I get any more, I need to decide what I want to specialize in. My last two were in .32 S&W Long, which I've added to the list of cartridges I reload for, so that may be where I focus my attentions. Of course, if I'm in a store and see a revolver from before about 1960, I'll probably buy whatever it is, because I'm goofy like that.

Has been worked by gunsmith at S&W factory Springfield MA.

For the life of me, I'll never understand what compels people to put their personal, private info on the internet.
Sure I, and many others, do post pics and show off a bit once in a while. That's actually quite fun and usually serves a specific purpose. But post my entire inventory? Not hardly.
I was always taught that asking a person how many guns they own is like asking a woman who much she weighs. Its just bad manners and shouldn't be done.
Ain't nobody else's business anyway.

I was always taught that asking a person how many guns they own is like asking a woman who much she weighs. Its just bad manners and shouldn't be done.

Grayfox, I know you are right but.... not everyone subscribes to that common sense rule. We know you are right, everyone knows, but those that have posted are choosing to ignore you. Nothing personal.
Besides there is a certain level of anonymity here.
Relax and enjoy the thread.

Exactly. Am I supposed to be worried that someone will figure out which house is mine - in a town of 150,000 people - and then once they figure it out that they will come steal all my guns because I listed them on an internet forum? PU-LEASE!
Or should I be worried because the gubermint is monitoring my internet postings? Why? There was a 4473 filled out for every one of them when I purchased them. If THEY wanted to know what I have that would provide a lot more reliable list than anything I post on the internet.
So exactly what am I supposed to be paranoid about?

If you think many of us here will tell you (and any lurking trolls) which guns we own, you're very naive.

LOL, there are a lot of people on this forum that I could tell you at least a good portion of what they own.
Its as simple as a "read all posts by member X" search.
They'll show off every new one they pick up, but God forbid someone suggest listing them

So I'm sitting here thinking.....
1) Yeah, I got two of each revolver listed only mine are chrome plated with glow in the dark, fine Corinthian, genuine plastic grips.
2) No, I don't have ANY guns anymore. As soon as I took my roof TV antenna down I sustained a flying saucer attack and they took all of them.
3) I tried three times to list my S&W revolvers but before I could finish the list all of the guns were replaced by others.
4) What I was really thinking was that a thread like this would be an excellent opportunity to gaze on some great photos....

Well, "Da Gubernment" (mine) already knows everything I own. They have my address, serial numbers, pictures, you name it.
So...
