Default Sunday Morning K-Frame Gun Show

Ok, 3 guns don’t really constitute a “show”, but I’ve noticed a serious lack of photos, on the forum lately. So, I decided to “be the change I wish to see in the world”. Here are some gratuitous gun pics. An earlier thread had asked folks to post “sets of guns”, collections based on a common theme. Among my small accumulation (7) of Smith revolvers, the only “set” I have acquired somewhat deliberately, are pre-lock K-frames.
M19-4 4” with Ivory stocks: last Christmas’ present to myself. Given, what I paid, I probably bought it too soon.
M66 No Dash 4”: Bought this, last year, for woods carry. Took it to the range, yesterday. At 25 feet, a ragged bullseye. 25 yards, not so much. It’s me, not the gun. Just need more range time, and, maybe, some better glasses.
M 19-5 2 1/2”: picked this up a few months ago, and just got it back, from my ‘smith. Before me, I doubt that more than a few cylinders had ever been shot through her. While running 100 rounds, I got some major lead-spitting, including the opening of a cut under my eye. Turns out it left the factory without any noticeable forcing cone. He cut it to 11 1/2 degrees and reamed, and polished the throats of the charging holes. Haven’t shot it, since getting it back, but the gunsmith says this work will make the gun as accurate as a snub can be.
Thanks for looking.

The forcing cone issue with the M19 is interesting, because my one range session with my 2.5" M19-3 had some lead spitting issues also, although I think it was just with hot magnums. I'll have to examine it...

Nice collection!

.357 Magnum caliber K frames are just way to cool. I like all of them, but the 4" model 19-4 with the ivories are over the top.

Mighty fine gathering of some of my favorite wheelguns! Let us know how your gunsmith did. They all look great!

Thanks, Old Bear. She’s a sweet shooter, that 19-4, but goes to the range only enough to avoid being a total safe queen (twice, since Christmas).

Thanks for the post. My daughter just walked up behind me and we had a quick lesson in K frame models. She shot her first last weekend...a 4" 617. Talk about getting bit!

Sweet trio of k frames. The 19-4 with ivories is extra special.
