Does seller have it priced?
ETA:
Maybe apples to oranges but I bought a very clean 6" M28-2 last December for $500. No box, docs, etc but was an S prefix with original diamond magnas.

Going rate around here for a nice and clean 6 inch 28 shooter is maybe $500-600. If the gun you are looking at is really NIB, unfired, completely original, then I could see the seller getting $900 from a collector.

If it is truly what he says it is and is absolutely mint then take it. But do you plan to shoot it or not?

Kinda what I thought paying $500 for the one I bought but I needed a donor for caliber conversion to .44 Special.
The 28's seem to have appreciated in price though right along with most other models.

New in Box plus docs and tools would be a buy it now for me at $750. Maybe even $800. But I am not to sure I would go as high as $900.
