Default New to Me M33-1

I found this J-frame in a local shop begging for a new home. Appears to be unfired, but no box. Story is that an elderly lady brings in guns every now and then that her late husband had. Probably has no idea where the boxes are...
What is it worth? Too nice for me to keep and/or shoot... R serial number.

I have been watching the little .32s, not .38 S&W. Yours looks just like my 4" 31-1, 32 Regulation Police, which I purchased off GB for 450 within the past year. I've seen pristine copies asking over 800.

Thanks, guys. Prices for the old I and J frames-especially the Kit Guns, seem to be heading for nose-bleed levels.

I had an old H&R from around 1920 which i sold and needed another 38 to shoot the rest of the ammo so that's how i ended up buying mine. Now I just need some bullets and I can start working a load.
