Default Need conformation on Mfg date of M43

Greetings, I could use conformation for the date of mfg. on this sweet M43 SN#115868, best I could narrow it down to was 65-69. I purchased this on GI, a rare source of purchase for me due to it being kind of pricey for my budget $600 (gun only) delivered, a price I felt from what I could gather was fair. After getting it in my hands I feel it was a little better than fair as its sole owner was a gunsmith and it has been well cared for and really is a nifty little kit gun. Let me know what you folks who are into .22 L/R think. One other question is why such a spread of dates if there was only the one production, or do I just have the dates screwed up?

Very nice gun have acquired, congrats.
I'll try and help with a little info from the 4th edition.
1968 - delete diamond grip.
1966 - change thumbpiece.
The 4th mentions 3 versions of a flat latch.
So in my interpretation, your gun displays characteristics of being from 66 to 68.
Still that's no guarantee when it shipped.
Either way, that's a fine old gun, congrats.
