Default Price check 27-2

I ran across a 4” 27-2 the other day that I may have a chance to purchase.
I cannot find enough info to make a good guess at what a fair price would be.
Gun is a blued, 3 T’s and is in 95%+ condition. It comes in a presentation case that is solid but rather faded on the inside. Tools are there but no paperwork was visible.Grips are in very good condition as well.
Anyone who has a guess, I would be appreciative of some knowledge.
Sorry no pics available

Thanks for pointing out the obvious omissions Narragansett

I am not the expert here, but does it have tools and documents? Does it have target hammer, target trigger, and target stocks? Finish, blue or nickel? The other guys will ask that for sure

Sorry but we need pics for an accurate evaluation. My 95% might be your 85%. Could be $700 to 1250 imho.

I get your point usm1, but I dont have pictures. The only blue loss on the gun is the turn line on the cylinder which is present but not heavy, meaning barely through the blue. There are no dings or safe marks on the gun either.

There's a 6" 27-2 for sale on a local site in my area for $900.

Take a look at the finished auctions on GunBroker. Since only you have seen the gun, you can look at guns of equal condition.

Only look at the (sold) auctions as some ask very high prices but guns are never sold.

With GunBroker you can narrow the option search down to the same gun your purchasing, so your not searching thru 100's of guns.

Four inch 27-2 are rare since they only made them for a few years. I wish I still had mine since they are now worth $1200 plus depending on condition.

I gave $900 for my mint 4" blue 27-2 and I feel I lucked into it at that price. I also have a 4" Nickel that I think is unfired after leaving the factory. Gave $1200 for that one. The 3-1/2" is the most desirable barrel length to most people, but the 4" is actually the most uncommon since as Laketime mentioned they were only made at the tail end of 27-2 production.
