Got a 65-2 4inch SS finish .357 magnum sq grip

# 1D78xxx Help me with the year? I know based on production its 77-82 ? would love to know more?

I can't help you with the date, but I had a 65 no dash. I was first on the list to get a private one here in RI. 135.00 brand new. LEO departments had first call on the new ones. Wonderful piece, wish I still had mine, or another one. ENJOY!!!

Welcome to the Forum,
Your Model 65-2 dates to about 1979 as per the Standard Catalog of S&W.
