Gun Show Find, S&W Mod 29-2 4" ca 1975
On Saturday I went to the Oaks, PA gun show and found this nice example of a Model 29-2 4" c.a. 1975.
There were only two other p-n-r 29's at the show and both were nickel guns.
Anyway I've been on the hunt and found it at my goto dealer Highland Arms Co.
I hope you enjoy
Regards,
Kobsw

Congratulations! You've found yourself a fine example of a classic. I truly love the look of the 4 inch 29s. I'm curious about the two nickel ones. Was there a big price difference between them and your blued version? I'd like to find a nickel one someday, but not today. My IGA (individual gun account) is a bit low right now.

Sweet looking .44. I've bought and traded more than a few guns with Jeff.

Loeman,
Both nickel guns were p-and-r one 4" and one 6" both were $1200+ this one was up there too(Priced at $1075, got it for less) but I've wanted a 4" p-and-r blued gun for sometime so I made the deal.
I figure in 5-10 years these will become more scarce and +++$$$

Series guy, Jeffry's my goto. I also got a nice Model 19-3(I've posted it here) from him a little wile back with box, papers and tools.
I've done some other dealings with him as well and can say that he's a great guy to do business with.

I have only been serious about .44's the last few years. Got a 29-3, 6" last November. April, got a 29-2, 4" at the gun show. My 1st nickel gun at 65. It is ported, but I may really like it. Boy, does that finish glisten!
Congratulations on your show find!

That's a really nice Model 29 kobsw! I'm looking for a 4" Model 29 in either Blue or Nickel to replace the last one I sold some time around 1989. Right now the only .44 Magnum I have is a 4" 629-4. I will hope to find one as nice as the one you found!

I have seen Highland Arms at the Monroeville show in the western part of the state. He always has some good stuff, but never anything I'm looking for when I'm looking for it. Nevertheless I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them.

How has the show at the Expo Mart been lately? Heard it is smaller nowadays. Last time I went it was on both sides of the Expo Mart.
