Model 14-4
Serial number 22K2XXX

3 screw, pinned barrel.

What year made??

I haven't been in here for a while...feel free to correct me if I am in the wrong spot.

Just trying to find out what I have.

A 1977 date likely. I've a 24K 14-4 that folks here told me was produced in 1978. You have one great handgun in that 14-4.

Just purchased a model 14-4 pinned serial number 76K7444. Trying to find out what year produced.

Funny topic, or at least timely. My wife is bored to tears on our hobby but she bought me the book for Christmas. I just told her today that if she'd paid $200 for the book it would have been a bargain.

Yeah, folks should seriously consider the book if they're into S&W at all.
