Default Another 27-2 date please

I have a 27-2 with serial # N506XX. Can someone please help on the date of manufacture? Thanks in advance.

Welcome. Do you mean N 506XX or N 506XXX? There is a big difference.

If it is the first the shipping date was sometime between 1969 and 1972. If it is the second, it would have been shipped in the 1978 to 1980 period. The only way to pin it down closer than that is to request a letter from Roy Jinks.

Well, it is an early N prefix Model 27-2 (approximately 1971). But, the 27-2 was introduced in 1962, when they were still carrying the S prefix numbers. So, it isn't a "very early" Model 27-2.

According to my database, early to mid 1972.
