Found a sweet 19-4
Not sure of the year (54K04XX), and it doesn't come with a box, but it's in fantastic shape. I can see a turn line, but I didn't see another mark on it. Had to leave some $ there for them to hold it, but I got it for $500 OTD. I couldn't stand to leave it there. Tighter than Dicks hatband. (never knew exactly what that meant) I also left a 29-3 behind for $800 (8" barrel at least, no box) I couldn't swing both of them, so I flipped a coin.
Not really, it was almost that close, but I would only shoot 44 specials in the 29 and I don't have any holsters for that huge barrel.
Pre-lock S&W's are very seldom seen around here, especially in that condition. When I found two in the same shop, I couldn't decide what to do. The 29 had some heavy bluing loss on the muzzle from a holster, and the 19 has No wear, other than the fain turns line. This place is too addicting, and you're all enablers,.....showing off all those pretty blued guns everyday.

Wow! That 19 is beautiful and to get it for that price is amazing. Around here that gun would set you back at least $700. You did good...real good.

yep, right choice made!! That one would have "followed me home" as all the rest post on here. Now you can post nice blue guns. I think that was a great price.

I agree wholeheartedly with your choice. A clean P&R Model 19 for five bills is approaching unicorn territory. Good job, and congratulations on a fine gun.

Thanks all, I keep thinking a gun in that condition should have had the box with it. I asked a couple of times "Are you sure?" "Yep, no box, just that." I'm going to ask again when I go pick it up.
