Default 28-2 HP help with date

Hey gang!
It's been a few months since I've been on. I came across this 28-2 and just need help narrowing down a date for it. I'm sure it's late 70's but she sure is a beauty! 6" with serial N513502.

Thanks in advance!

Dave

From the info I have it looks like 1978. Looks like a beauty, hardly a turn line. Love 28's

Beautiful example you have there! Don't have my book with me, but the answers you already got seem about right. Love to find one that nice in a 4". Congratulations!

Default That is a beauty.

DaveH911 that is a fine looking model 28-2. I have a very close relative to it. A 4 inch 28-2 with the serial of N51388x. I have it dated to 1978.
Every collection should have at least one model 28. JA

Agreedd! My first revolver, actually handgun was a 26-2 6". Bought it in 68. Traded it in on a Brownig Hi-Power that I still have. I kicked myself ever since, so 2 nice fellows on this forum weree kind enough to sell me a couple nice ones. A 4" and a 6". Never owned a 27, but these are just dressed down 27's and do not have all the factory options like stocks, triggers, hammers and high polish finish, but they shoot every bit as good! Now to find nice grips for my 4 in when it gets here in a week
