19-3 at the range
Finally got a chance to shoot the 19-3 Texas Ranger Commemorative. WOW!! I don't have any other revolver I shoot more accurately!! First target is pictured fired double action at 10 yards (admittedly that's not very far), which is how I always start with a new acquisition.
The ammo was Federal 130gr fmj .38 special. Ran 50 rounds through it, then 12 of 158 jhp .357.
The magnum rounds opened up at bit as I was shooting those at 25 yards. No pictures though as I was just going for "minute of torso" .
Love this revolver!!
Here's the first 6 rounds, the upper right was the first round, then adjusted the rear sight for the next 5:

Very nice. You just can't go wrong with a good Model 19.

The opinion was once offered that only accurate guns are interesting. You have a very interesting S&W revolver! Sincerely. bruce.

Real nice shooting, maybe 10 yds but with double action I think that's great. You just can't go wrong with a good Model 19. I have two 19s, a 1958 (19 no dash)4" and a 19(19-4)6", CHP Commemorative. Took 2nd place in a match with the 19-4 last November.

S&W Fan, I do understand! I shoot my Model 19-3 better than any other handgun that I've shot!!
S&W Model 19-3 "Combat Magnum" in 357 Magnum.
God bless,
Birdgun
